What I do

I am a front-end web developer and web content editor. I use my graphic design background to create good-looking, user-friendly websites and web pages in content management systems. I also create digital artwork for print.

What I’m up to at the moment

I currently work for Travel Weekly Group, the leading news publisher for the UK travel industry, which maintains a portfolio of websites providing news and services to different market segments.

I work mainly on the gazetteers.com and aspire websites where I edit and maintain content and provide support to the web development team by creating visuals/mockups in Photoshop and hand-coded pages using HTML, CSS and jQuery in an ASP.NET environment.

My background

Originally from an artworking background, I have over ten years experience creating digital artwork for print in leading design, advertising and travel companies. I have a full working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, QuarkXPress and printing processes.

Since 2009 I have been creating websites and working in web content positions, using a mix of creative ability and technical skills to add value to large scale commerical websites.

I have a BA in History (2.1) and MSc. in IT from London University, Queen Mary College.
